GALLANTRY & DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS TO POWs
The following has been extracted from the Second Supplement to the London Gazette of Tuesday 10th September 1946 an original copy of which is held by COFEPOW. This lists some Decorations and Mentions in Despatches for gallantry and distinguished service to Prisoners of War. It is not known if this is a complete list or whether other Supplements were published. If anyone knows of additional awards granted to British Prisoners of War, COFEPOW would be pleased to hear of them.
