Of the 50,016 total United Kingdom forces captured :-
42,610 were Army of whom 10,298 were killed or died in captivity
5,102 were RAF of whom 1,714 were killed or died in captivity
2,304 were Royal Navy of whom 421 were killed or died in captivity
TOTAL 12,433 (25%) United Kingdom Forces were killed or died - 37,583 survived
