COFEPOW member Dennis Carlton has submitted these photographs. They are believed to have been taken at 123 Bay Rd Sandringham, Victoria,
Australia at about 'Krimbo' (Christmas) time 1942. It is thought they
are all of evacuees from Singapore and some of the husbands were POWs.
Some lived in Arrarat, Black Rock and other places. The following is a list of probable names :- Mrs Thompson and son Conal, Mrs Kingston, daughter Betty, sons Bill
and Bob, Mrs Barnett, daughter Josephine, Mrs Clancey, Mrs Burke, daughter
Marie, Mrs Woolridge, Mrs White, Mrs Ritchie, Mrs Rasmussen, Mrs Hehir.
