All my family and I have been able to establish is that my great uncle who was in the 48 Light Anti Aircraft Regiment 49 Battery spent the first part of the war defending posts at Felixstowe and then was put on a ship to Singapore, but was redirected to Java. he ended up in Borneo and died on 25 July 1945. I am still trying to piece together the rest of the story. |
