COFEPOW is proud to announce that an important date in the FEPOW commemorative calendar will be marked with a special service, which will be held at the Millennium Chapel within the National Memorial Arboretum, at Alrewas Staffordshire.
Commencing at 12.00 noon, on Sunday 14th February 2027, this 85th anniversary service will be followed by a laying of wreaths at the FEPOW memorials within the grounds of the Arboretum. Attendees will then return to the Founders’ Room, at the main building, at approximately 1.30 p.m., where a light lunch will be available for £12.00 per person. A voucher will be provided which
will be redeemable for either soup, a sandwich or salad, and cake, plus a hot or soft drink (any food purchased extra to this, will be charged to you by the NMA).
The Chapel is the only place in the country where an Act of Remembrance is observed every day, with people of all faiths and none, welcomed. The aim is to provide a quiet, reflective space during whichever service you are attending.
Please bear in mind, seating space is limited, so ensure you have reserved your place by following the booking process detailed below. Should you wish to attend, please forward a cheque, made payable to ‘COFEPOW,’ to Chris Wills. 74 The Greenway, Sutton Coldfield B73 6SG or transfer directly by bank transfer to:
Bank: Lloyds. Account name: COFEPOW. Sort Code: 77-66-08. Account No: 39157268. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, please make sure you include your name and title ‘85th Anniversary’.
If you have any queries with regard to the above, please do not hesitate to contact Chris Wills by email via events@cofepow.org.uk or by phone on 0121 244 7263.
The event is a good length of time away, but it is important that a measure of potential attendance is obtained early, to organise catering needs. We look forward to joining you next February.
