A short VJ Day Service to be held at 3.30pm
Monday 15th August
In the Holy Cross Aisle at St Giles Cathedral, High Street, Edinburgh
o commemorate the end of the the Second World War in the Far East, a short service will be
conducted by the Rev. Sigrid Marten and a COFEPOW Wreath will be laid by former FEPOW
Jenny Martin.
All COFEPOW members, family and supporters - of all faiths or no faith - will be most welcome.
The Aisle contains several memorials to those who died in both World Wars, of which those to
Chaplains and Military Nurses are perhaps particularly notable. The Wreath will be placed on the
FEPOW Chair which was gifted to St Giles Cathedral by FEPOW members in the late 1960s.
