VJ80 Events in Sussex

VJ80 Service at the War Memorial, Litten Grove, Chichester on 15th August at 11am and the Mayor and members of the Sussex Regiment will be present.

Church bells will ring at Chichester Harbour Churches (Birdham, Itchenor & West Wittering) - 15th August 6.30pm

Other services taking place in Sussex:

‍St Mary's Church, Horsham and St James Church, Heyshott.

10 a.m. VJ80 Service of Commemoration at St James Church which will include readings and recollections of the war in the Pacific.

10.50 a.m. Cobden Hall commemorative flag raising, readings and bugler.

11.15 a.m. Cobden Hall complimentary tea, coffee and cake.

There will also be a bar where wine and Singapore Slings will be on

sale with proceeds to charity. There will also be a small exhibition, WW11 newsreels and music.
