As you will be aware, this year marks the 80th Anniversary of VJ day. Berwick Town Council is co-ordinating the towns celebrations with the help of volunteer organisations to mark the occasion.
We hope you will be able to join us on the day. Some events have limited capacity so if you would like to come to the service and or the tea below, please let us know via email or telephone as soon s possible - thank you.

Please join us as we offer our thanksgiving for the selflessness of the men and woman of Ford and Etal and around the globe, who gave their lives in order that future generations should enjoy the blessings of freedom, democracy and peace
Anyone with a personal connection to the men who fought in the Far East are invited to lay a wreath or flower by the grave – please contact Jim Carnegie jdcarnegie@aol.com
Victory Over Japan Day in 1945 marked the end of the Second World War and the date will be remembered with pride and gratitude. In this area, people will recall that for many local men the effects of the long conflict and what they had to endure did not end in the summer of 1945 ~ We Will Remember Them ~ Friday 15th August, 3pm then afterwards for tea at Lady Waterford Hall
