Reginald who was aged 19 serving with the Middlesex Regiment in Hong Kong when they were captured by the Japanese on Christmas Day 1941. They were shipped to Japan but were torpedoed on leaving Hong Kong. Luckily Reginald had been captain of a water polo team and was a strong swimmer and was able to reach one of the islands off Hong Kong but this only deferred his passage to Japan where he spent the rest of the war.
All interested members of the public are invited.
